ANNOUNCEMENTS:

A NOTE FROM THE
ART TEACHER:
The 3rd and 4th grade students will be participating in a Community Service Learning project called "Project Bread". During art classes students have been decorating wooden spoons, turning them into reindeer, animals, snowmen etc. These spoons will then be sold at the Jingle Bell Fair on Saturday December 9th. The money raised from the sale of these spoons will be sent to Project Bread's Holiday Kitchen to help feed the hungry. Jordan's Furniture has made a commitment to match every dollar raised through the spoon project.
Through participation in this project your child will learn about hunger in their community and how they can help. Many students like to purchase their own decorated spoon. Any student that would like to buy their own spoon may do so by bringing $3.00 to Mrs. Solomon by no later than Wednesday, December 6th. After December 6th the spoons will be available to purchase at the Jingle Bell Fair on a first come first serve basis.Thank you in advance for supporting this project.
Mrs. Solomon
