Welcome to Social Studies! 

6th Grade: Students are exploring Latin America. We are investigating the Inca, Aztec, and Maya people. What were these civilizations like? How do these civilizations still impact us today? Students' final assessment will be creating a board game with their knowledge that they've learned. 

7th Grade: We have been learning about relative and absolute poverty. Students were assigned a country to research and determine the level of poverty in that country. They then had to research the causes of poverty for their assigned country and what we can do to help. Students are presenting their findings to the class. 

8th Grade: Students are traveling through the Revolutionary War after learning about the events that led up to it. Students will take on the role of the soldier and play in a realistic game where they face the same choices the soldiers did.
