7th Grade Math
In 7th grade math, we have been working on using scales to create scale drawings, scale copies and find the missing scale factor of various shapes and real life objects. We spent some time measuring a basketball court and recreating the court on a piece of paper. We will continue to work with scales for the next week as we get ready for a big project where students will be working on creating a scaled drawing of the classroom.
8th Grade Math
In 8th grade math we are currently working on the three types of transformations. These transformations are translation, rotation, and reflection. We have taken our first checkpoint on these transformations and we will be continuing to look into transformations and how they are used in math. We will then wrap up our unit learning about congruence and what it means to be the same shape or object.
We are replacing dreambox with IXL this year for grades 5-8. We will be posting more updates about IXL here in the near future.
Retake Policy for Math
