Unit 8 - Solving Quadratic Equations

This unit is focused on solving quadratic equations using factoring and the quadratic formula! Students have been working hard to apply the knowledge they learned in the last unit about factoring towards this unit.

Unit 8 test will be on Tuesday April 28th. 

Information about the Algebra final will be sent to families early in May. The testing days will be Tuesday May 19th and Wednesday May 20th. Students will starting reviewing the week prior.

Unit 8 - Data Sets and Distributions

Our final big unit of the year is statistics. Students are learning about variability, statistical questions, box-and-whisker plots, histograms, dot plots, and mean/median/mode/range. This unit has more vocabulary that previous units that students will be using daily to help them describe the graphs they are reading and creating. 

This unit will end with a large data project that will involve the students collecting their own data and making a presentation of the data using various graphs and measures of center of data.
