This WebQuest was designed for 5th and 6th grade students. 5th Grade students will be conducting research on water distribution and using their research to write a expository paper including a graph. 6th Grade students will be conducting research about a weather system and use this research to write a expository paper that includes a graph. 5th Grade Science Standard: 5-ESS2-2 Describe and graph the amounts and percentages of water and fresh water in various reservoirs to provide evidence about the distribution of water on Earth. 6th Grade Science Standard: 6-ESS2-5 Collect data to provide evidence for how the motions and complex interactions of air masses result in changes in weather conditions. Writing Standards: 6th Grade CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.6.4 Produce clear and coherent writing in which the development, organization, and style are appropriate to task, purpose, and audience. (Grade-specific expectations for writing types are defined in standards 1-3 above.)
