Students in the Hudsonville Choir Program are offered quality instruction in vocal music education. They are given the opportunity to perform a variety of repertoire such as classical, folk, jazz, Broadway, and popular literature. Students are educated in healthy vocal technique, music literacy, and performance skills. These students can be found performing at community events, school concerts, and other school events.
Riley Street Middle School and Baldwin Street Middle School offer 6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Choirs. Students perform three concerts each year in the fall, winter and spring. The 7th and 8th grade students perform at District Choral Festival and students are offered the option of performing at Middle School Solo and Ensemble Festival.
Hudsonville High School's Choir Program consists of four ensembles: Choral Ensemble, Treble Choir, Chamber Choir, and Varsity Voices. The choirs perform concerts throughout the year as well as perform at District Choral Festival. Members of the choir program can participate in the semi-annual music theatre production. Previous productions include: Grease, Into the Woods, Annie, Bye Bye Birdie, The Sound of Music and The Wizard of Oz. The choir program also presents the annual Revue Show which features the choirs, small groups and soloists from the program. The choirs have recently performed in both New York City, Chicago and Walt Disney World.
All of our ensembles have earned consistent 1st division ratings at District Choral Festival for the past several years. These choirs have also earned annual invitations to perform at State Choral Festival.
