Good Morning Jaguars!  Today is Wednesday, February 01, 2012 and here is your daily dose of the daily jag.


1.    BIO 100 will officially start this Friday at 7:45 in Ms. Clemens' classroom.  Be sure to be on time!

2.    There will be a MESA meeting today at lunch!  We will begin working on our build projects. There is also a field trip for community service planned to Sutter Middle School, please attend this lunch meeting if you are interested in coming!  MESA Seniors be sure also to attend this meeting as there are several scholarship opportunities Mrs Shatraw will be handing out.  The MESA meeting will be in D3 at 1:00.

3.    There is a mandatory Latino Club meeting today during lunch in room


4.    Creative Writing club will be meeting this Wed after school in room C01. We will be writing and discussing our upcoming book project.

5.    Mandatory meeting this Thursday at lunch in room C01 for all HOSA students.

6.    Safe Schools Ambassador group "1920s"- there is a group meeting in Room C-3 this Friday during lunch. Group members will be receiving passes this Friday before lunch as a reminder. Again, SSA group "1920s" has a meeting this Friday in Room C-3. Remember- safe schools are groovy!

7.    There is a food carnival this Friday, February 3rd. Club presidents be sure to turn your food carnival approval form in to Ms. Washington.  

8.    Valentine candy roses are now being sold by the Class of 2012 – see Rebeka Wittenberg or Celeste Reyes.  Rose buds are $1 and flowers are $1.50. Bouquets will be sold at $5 for 6 buds and $10 for 12 buds.

9.    Attention seniors: On Feb. 9th Sac City college will be here to help you apply and give out important info on registering. All seniors are encouraged to attend! The workshop will take place during school, sign up with Ms. Lopez. Also, on Feb 9th from 5:30-7pm there will be a financial aid workshop in the computer lab. Come get your FAFSA filed so you can get free money for college and don't forget, Ms. Lopez is still taking social security numbers for the CAL-Grant, submit yours ASAP!

10. Congratulations to the following MESA Students who competed in the VEX Robotics Competition on Treasure Island last weekend. Simranjeet Benipal, Joseph Lee, Charlie Thao.  Health Professions High School Staff is proud of you for your hard work and innovation!
