About Horley Row Community Pre-school

Horley Row Community Playgroup was established in 1971. In 1976 we became a community playgroup run by an elected committee made up of parents.

In 2008 we changed our name to Horley Row Community Pre-school. We have now been providing for children and their families for 44 years.

Our team of staff have a wealth of experience in nurturing, supporting and ensuring a fun filled start to children's early education.

Our committee ensures that major decision making is in the hands of the parents who use the group. The committee is responsible for the employment of staff & fund-raising.

Our Annual General Meeting is held between September-October and parents are encouraged to attend and elect the members of the committee.

The setting manager is Tina Riddle. We currently have 39 children on our register and, of these around 27 children receive government funding for early education. We also provide for FEET funded children, who have a confirmed offer and reference number.

The group currently supports children with additional/ special needs and or a disability, including ASD, Learning Difficulties, physical, Speech & Language. We also support children who speak English as an additional language (EAL). If you require more detailed information on 'Our Local Offer' please see Surrey Early Years Website or contact Tina Riddle for more details.

We employ eight members of staff and have a number of registered helpers on standby. All staff have undergone a vetting process as part of our safer recruitment and commitment to safeguarding which include Enhanced CRB/ DBS, training and supervisions.
