Toys and other belongings
We do not have playtime in the morning or sharing in the afternoon. Your child is welcome to bring in a toy to play with at recess. All toys remain in the students lockers until recess begins. Toys are not permitted in student desks at anytime. Any electronic games are not permitted in First Grade (DSI, Game Boys, IPods etc.) Please make sure toys are labled with your child's name. If any problems should occur due to toys from home, I will send a note home explaining the problem, and toys will be no longer permitted from home.
Parent /Teacher Communication
I will keep you updated on classroom events using the Daily Folder, and Remind 101 (look for more information about Remind 101 in your child's Friday Folder). Daily Folder will go home at the end of each day. Please return the next day.
We do not have snack time in First Grade. I encourage you to have your child eat breakfast at home or in the cafeteria when they arrive.
Your child may bring in a birthday treat if they would like. Simply send in a note letting me know when the treat will arrive.
I encourage you to put your child's name on all supplies you send in from home. Desk and lockers get messy pretty quick, and things get misplaced or lost. It will make things easier for us at school.
