    ANGEL PICCIRILLO CAPTURES 1600 & 800 PIAA TRACK CHAMPIONSHIPS SETS NEW RECORDS
    Angel Piccirillo won the Class AA 1600 meter championship with a time of 4:39.42. Her time set a new all time state record for AA and AAA.
    Angel also captured the 800 meter championship with a time of 2:09.16. Her time established a new PIAA Class AA record.

    HERITAGE CONFERENCE ANNOUNCES ALL CONFERENCE SPRING SPORTS SELECTIONS
    Jess Galasso, Jill Overman, Heather Paynter, Breanna Rossi and Angel Piccirillo were seleted to the Heritage Conference Girls Track team
    Mike Newhouse & Levi McCracken were selected to the Heritage Conference Boys Track team   
    Garrett Omasta was selected to the Heritage Conference Baseball team
    Alexa Dawson was selected to the Heritage Conference Softball team
     
    HOMER-CENTER QUALIFIES FIVE FOR PIAA TRACK & FIELD MEET
    Angel Piccirillo qualified in the 800 with a new District VI record time of 2:12.28 & 1600 with a new District VI record time of 4:48.28.
    Jess Galasso qualified in the shot put with a new school record throw of 35-8 1/2. 
    The 1600 relay team of  Angel Piccirillo, Heather Paynter, Jill Overman & Brianna Rossi qualified with a 2nd place finish and time of 4:04.61 for an article that appeared in the Indiana Gazette go to: Note incorrect names for the relay team appear in the article
      
    ANGEL PICCIRILLO SHATTERS MCKINNEY MILE RECORD
    The prestigious McKinney Mile is part of the Baldwin Invitation. 
    Angel's record time of 4:44.08 is the 2nd fastest in the nation this year and shattered the previous record by 10 seconds.

    KATELYN SKINNER NAMED TO AP 1ST TEAM ALL STATE BASKETBALL TEAM 
    Katelyn earned her second consecutive all state team selection.  Katelyn averaged 22 points, had 66 3-point field goals, shot .431 from the field, averaged 7.4 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 2.6 steals per game.  Katelyn will continue her career at the University of Hartford next season.  
     
    SELECTION  HOMER-CENTER GIRLS BASKETBALL TEAM RECEIVES TRI-COUNTY OFFICIALS SPORTSMANSHIP AWARD
    The girls basketball team was awarded the Tri-County Officials Sportsmanship Award March 31.
    The award was presented to Coach Tom Lasher and Athletic Director Greg Page and was given to our team for displaying positive effort and sportsmanship on and off the court.

    Angel was recognized for her athletic accomplishments and also her service and leadership in our school and our community.

    Angel earned the All-American status with her performance at the in-door championship meet 
    Angel ran a USA #2 time of 4:45.05 in the mile run  
     








    ANGEL PICCIRILLO WINS PA INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIP MILE RUN AND 3000 METER RUN 
    Angel's mile championship time of 4:44.2 is a new state indoor record and currently the fastest time this season in the United States
    Angel's championship in the 3000 run is her 8th state championship in her decorated career
     
      
    HOMER-CENTER GIRLS BASKETBALL CLAIMS HERITAGE CONFERENCE CHAMPIONSHIP
    The Homer-Center Girls Basketball team captured the championship with a win over Penns Manor on February 16

    RICK FOUST TO BE INDUCTED INTO THE INDIANA COUNTY SPORTS HALL OF FAME
    Former coach Rick Foust will be inducted May 20, 2012
    Coach Foust led the Wildcat football program to District Championships in 1985 & 1994
    He also coached four Wildcat athletes to State Championships in Track & Field and guided others to state medals & District Championships

    Deanne Magolis was named Head Volleyball Coach at the December meeting of the H-C Board of Directors

    ANGEL PICCIRILLO REPEATS AS PENNSYLVANIA GATORADE XC RUNNER OF THE YEAR
    Angel Piccirillo has been named the Pennsylvania Cross Country runner of the year
    This is Angel's second consecutive year earning this distinguished honor

    The Homer-Center Girls Basketball team defeated Cambria Heights 52-38 to capture the title

    ANGEL PICCIRILLO WINS NORTHEAST REGIONAL XC CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFIES FOR NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP MEET
    Angel won the Northeast Regional XC Championship November 26 in Long Island, New York with a time of 18:01.
    Angel will run for the XC National Championship December 10 in San Diego, California.
