The children have completed their first "assignment" by answering  a question and submitting it!   Upcoming projects include using Google Slides for an upcoming Science project in which the students will learn to insert pictures, captions, and perhaps even some videos into their presentations.  In addition, the kids will practice the writing and editing process with Google Docs and will be able to work on their drafts both at school and at home.  Be on the lookout for some Google Classroom Assignments in the next few weeks.

We had a fabulous first week of school!

Class Covenant

The class talked about God's promise or covenant to his people. Students made a promise to treat one another with love and respect with a class covenant by reading the pledge and then signing it.  The students' hand prints serve as a reminder of our pledge to one another.    We also read a book about being "Bucket Fillers" verses "Bucket Dippers" and we decorated buckets for display in the classroom.  Ask your child to tell you about this.

Daily Work Habits Report
To increase student awareness of appropriate classroom work habits, the children will receive a daily work habits report in addition to a behavior clip chart.  Please initial and return the sheet each day.  Students will receive positive behavior store money when the sheets are returned and signed on time.

Websites for Homework and Classroom Work

Please add the following websites to the device(s) with which your child will complete homework or classroom work so that your child can easily access assignments. Usernames and passwords for Reading, Math, and Moby Max will be taped to the inside of your child's red folder in the coming weeks.  (The free version of Spelling City does not require a username or password.)
