The Summer Wave Is Crashing Our Way...

From my seat, the 2018-19 school year simply flew by. It was a great journey. Learning the world of “Holy Family” and collaborating with teachers, staff and parents to grow and enhance our mission of “Academic Excellence Rooted in Faith”. Although we have not even started our summer break, trust much work is already going on to make sure that our school enhances areas of need and expands our areas of success!

Thank you all for supporting our school!

Evolving and Adapting Toward a Brighter Tomorrow...

Every school shifts through changes and growth. We are very much a people endeavor; students, teachers and families. As we look to 2019-20 we will bid farewell to several staff members. The following teachers have elected to follow family and professional plans which require leaving their roles at Holy Family – our thanks and appreciation is deep and we wish these Catholic educators great success as they  move into their new roles for the 2019-20 school year. They have blessed us at our school and in our community – our thanks to each!
Mrs. Schiller - First Grade Teacher
Ms. Stillman - Fifth Grade Teacher
Ms. Young - Sixth Grade Teacher
Mrs. Clay - Spanish Teacher
Additionally, due to enrollment shifts Mrs. Dittbrenner will take on a new role leading a two teacher/classroom team in first grade. Our current projections include 2 first grade homerooms (and 1 kindergarten classroom), to accommodate this Mrs. Dittbrenner will share her professional leadership strength in our first grade.

These changes have produced many highly qualified candidates for our open teaching positions. In collaboration with our staff we are interviewing and excited to bring new teachers on to our team. All new hires will be announced as we enter the new school year!

Summer Work...

Please check our school web site to keep your child up to date on summer work and preparation for the 2019-20 school year — all projects and assignments will be posted by June 14th!

Keep Them Coming...

As you move through the summer we hope you will encourage friends and associates to “give Holy Family a look”. Our school has a solid enrollment, but we must collectively all continue to work to grow the community!

Remember if you refer a family who enrolls and attends, you will receive a $50 tuition credit.

Tell anyone interested to contact Mr. Hughes at chughes@holyfamilyaston.org or call 610-494-0147 ext. 5 - we will make it easy for them to find out more about the gifts and blessings of our school.

The Holy Family value…Rooted in Faith. Let’s put ourselves in the hands of our loving God and pray together that He will bless all of us and our families during the wonderful months of summer.

Some House Keeping…

Next week, Monday 6/10 – Friday 6/14 the Donnelly St. rear doors will NOT be open for morning drop off. That door is used for Pre-K and Kindergarten students who cannot get out of the car on their own yet. With those classes done as of Friday 6/7 there is no need there. Please use the rear car line drop off.

CARES News...

There will be no morning CARES this Friday, June 7th since there are no students who are pre-scheduled to attend.

All CARES account balances must be paid in full by your child’s final day of CARES attendance: PreK by today, Wed., 6/5; Kindergarten by tomorrow, Thur., 6/6; and Gr. 1 - 8 by Fri., 6/7.

According to CARES policy, a $25 Year-End Late Payment fee will be assessed on unpaid balances. Final report cards and transcripts may be held until receipt of payment.

Please direct CARES account questions to Mr. Culloty at aftercare@holyfamilyaston.org

Annual Appeal...Keep helping our school...

We are over $10,000 for the 3rd year in a row. Please let’s not stop now, we have only a few weeks left for the Holy Family Annual Appeal. The Annual Appeal has raised $10,006. This is 67% of our GOAL. We are very thankful for all the School Families, Faculty & Staff, the Board and Parishioners for their support of Holy Family School.

Remember, it is not too late to donate, the appeal runs through June 30th. Our goal is 100% Participation. Please take a moment and review the attached Annual Appeal request. The challenge of providing an outstanding Catholic Education is ongoing. The Annual Appeal allows for funds to flow to targeted areas and to provide need improvements. The goal for 100% participation is lofty, but our community has a history of responding in an outstanding manner.

Thank you for supporting Catholic Education.

CYO and YOU!
