NEXT UP SPIRIT STROLL... Will Mr. Hughes be disappearing?

All eyes are focused on Friday, April 26th - our Spirit Stroll is looking to be a huge success! So many families have worked and reached out to friends, helping our school gain support and donations! The prospects look good for this being a huge Spirit Stroll year and Magician Eddy Ray is preparing to possibly do his vanishing act!

As you know, each Friday we have been providing prize opportunities for those students and families who have contributes to the stroll so far… please make those donations sooner than later.

On Friday April 12th we will again hold drawings for all who have participates so far. Plus those students/families in the “top 25” will have a chance to win the Giant DOG in Mr. Hughes Office… so if you have donations – get them in by Friday  -- for a chance to win the Big Dog!!

The link for online donations can be found on the school web site under "Giving" "Spirit Stroll". https://holyfamilyaston.org/spirit-stroll

EITC Awareness Weekend

Please see the attached flyer for some ways to help with EITC funds.

New financial assistance opportunity for the 2019-2020 school year....

We recently received notice from the Bridge Foundation that they will be providing EITC scholarship awards for next year. Please note that these funds are available to students in grades K-8 only, and to families residing in Pennsylvania.

To be eligible for this award, the income guidelines are below. If you are interested in applying, please complete the attached form, and return it to school including a copy of your
2018 Federal Income Tax Return(s) – 1040 form only .

The Bridge Foundation does ask that families who receive funds provide 40 hours of community service over the 12 month period beginning from the date the funds are received. The entire family can contribute toward the hours, and they don't have to all be completed at the school. The volunteering can be any sort of community service, the hours just need to be documented and approved by a representative of the place where the volunteering has been completed.

Applications are due to the school no later than May 15, 2019.

To be eligible for scholarships, families of students must have an adjusted gross income of less than $85,000, with an additional $15,608 adjustment for each dependent.

2019 Annual Appeal

Please take a moment and review the attached Annual Appeal request. The challenge of providing an outstanding Catholic Education is ongoing. The Annual Appeal allows for funds to flow to targeted areas and to provide need improvements. The goal for 100% participation is lofty, but our community has a history of responding in an outstanding manner.
