Catholic School’s Week

This past week was filled with great community activities. The Tournament of Champions event on Friday was designed to capture all of the positive elements of our Holy Family Catholic School Community!

Students played cooperative games in their classroom focused on peer collaboration, they worked with and teamed with students from other grades, which capitalized on the family feel so important to Holy Family and finally we think they had some fun!

An important outcome of the event centered on the outstanding leadership shown by our entire 8th grade. The 8th grade was challenged to work with all students in all grades and help to insure some great fun and healthy competition! Watching our 8th grade lead our students was positive proof of the great outcomes available to students at Holy Family—they learn academic skills, but just as importantly they learn to be leaders and team builders!!

Next year’s CSW will have a high bar to reach..but trust wheels are already in motion to make CSW 2020 even better!

2019 RE-Enrollment Going On Now

If you have not yet re-enrolled for the 2019-20 school year please complete and return all required information. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Mr. Hughes at chughes@holyfamilyaston.org  to discuss those matters.

On Wednesday, February 13th from 6 - 7:30PM we will be opening up registration to all new families. If you have friends or colleagues interested in our school please let them know about this event or have them contact the school!

Holy Family is moving ahead and we anticipate several “filled” grade levels. Please act early to insure your school space!

Please note our tuition policy requires that all financial obligations must be up-to-date in order to re-register for the following year.

There is a 2 part process for you to complete the re-registration process. Please complete both by Fri. 2/8/19.

1.   Registration Form – Please review and make any changes to the form that was provided to you as well as complete any missing information.  For any new family members that you would like to register, please circle the option on the registration form, and we will send you a new student packet for you to complete.

 2.   Registration Fee - All currently enrolled families need to follow the attached directions for SmartTuition online re-enrollment.  The website (enrollwithsmart.com) will direct you to review your current information, and also allow you to add any new students you hope to enroll with Holy Family before making your registration payment. If you have any login questions call SmartTuition at 888-868-8828.

Health Requirements

The Pennsylvania School Health Regulation requires that children entering school for the first time either in kindergarten or first grade and all students entering sixth or eleventh grade require a medical exam. It is suggested you have the exam by your family doctor. Examinations after September 1, 2018 will be acceptable for school year 2019-2020.

Pennsylvania School Health Regulations also require a dental exam upon entering school for the first time either in kindergarten or first grade, third grade, and seventh grade. It is suggested you have the exam by your family dentist.

Seventh grades are required to have additional immunizations requirements for attendance:

· For attendance in 7th grade, 1 dose of tetanus, diphtheria, acellular pertussis (Tdap) on the first day of 7th grade
· For attendance in 7th grade, 1 dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV) on the first day of 7th grade

If students do not have the required immunizations they run the risk of being excluded from school within the first five days of school.

You can send your child's information now for next school year. Please contact the nurse if you have a question.
