Congratulations to Mr. Heinemann!  Have you read about his award?   We are so proud that he is being honored at the Foundation for Catholic Education and Delaware County Advisory Council's 3rd Annual Gala. 

Congratulations to Lukas Zalota for coming in 3rd place at the Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling State Championships!  What a great achievement!

Finally, congratulations to AfterCare staff member Brigid Culloty who married Jim Levi this past Saturday. "Miss Brigid" is enjoying the week off and will return next week. Last Thursday, AfterCare students celebrated the impending marriage with Rainbow Twizzlers.

Also, a big thank you goes out to Mrs. Rundbaken!  her last day will be this Friday, March 31st.  We have loved having her in 5th grade and are sad to see her go.  
Of course, we are excited to have Mrs. Drager back on Monday.  
Mrs. Rundbaken, you will be missed!

I have some important notes and reminders for you. 
  • Mrs. Bean's Easter Basket is back!  It is filled with so many amazing goodies.  Chances are 1 for $1.00 or ten for $5.00.  Please click here for chances. 
  • Easter Dinner Donation Requests: We are collecting money/gift cards to help the Sisters of the Missionaries of Charity provide Easter dinners to our neighbors in need. Our goal is to raise enough money so we are able to feed 80 families. Please send all donations to the attention of Barbara Arena before April 7th.  As always we thank you for your generosity.
  • The second of our Safe Environment Lessons will be given during the first week of April.  If you DO NOT want your child in attendance, please print out the OPT OUT letter, complete it and return it to school by Thursday, March 30, 2017. 
  • A new Art from the Heart Drama Session is starting.  Click here for more information.  Registration is due on April 3rd.

St. Joseph’s High School CYO Annual Hershey Park Trip 
Date:  Sunday May 7th 
Time:  Bus will leave Church parking lot after 8 am mass has cleared out
                Bus will return to St. Joseph Church parking lot by 10 pm
Cost:  $60/ $35 deposit with permission form is required by Sunday April 2nd.  After                           that  point tickets only available until bus fills up. 
               Cost includes bus ride, park ticket, drinks and snacks on the bus to and from. 
               Students are on their own for lunch and dinner.
Permission form and deposit may be given to Colleen McClintock, Katie McGonigal, Patrick McVey, Kristen O’Donnell, KiKi or Erin Daly, Matt McCarthy or dropped off at rectory:  Attention High School CYO. 
*** All checks made payable to St. Joseph CYO.  No cash may be dropped off at the rectory. ***

Registration is open for Merion Mercy’s Summer Programs!

We have a variety of academic, enrichment and athletic offerings for girls and boys, including our acclaimed pre-eighth grade Summer Academy and High School Placement Test Preparation course, and our popular 6th and 7th grade Jump Start Program, which focuses on math, language arts, writing and study skills.  We also offer fun enrichment programs, and sports camps such as field hockey and volleyball.

SMART Tuition News
Year-end statements for families 
We have a new enhancement to our system!  Year-end statements are available for families that need account totals for tax purposes.  Families just log into their account at .  Parents must access the statements directly as they are not sent in the mail. Account Managers will be able to explain how to access if you have questions.


2017-2018 Financial Aid Information
 The Financial Aid application cycle for the 2017-18 school year is now underway.  SmartAid will again be the tool used to apply and award financial aid.

Families who applied in 16-17 will only need to:
  1.  Login in (using the username and password from 16-17) - for instructions click here.
  2. Update their information.
  3. Submit and pay the $25 application fee. 
  4.  Return to the site and upload their 2016 taxes when completed but no later than 3/31/2017.
