August 08, 2017

I hope this letter finds you enjoying your summer vacation! I would like to welcome you to the third grade! I am so excited to have you in my class this year! I look forward to meeting you on the first day and hope you are as excited as I am for school. I know we will have a great time learning together!

This school year we will be doing a lot of exciting activities, projects, and learning adventures. We will be studying about the history of the United States and we are able to attend field trips where everything began, right here in our own state. In math, we will be reviewing the addition and subtraction facts, learning multiplication, division, fractions and much more. We will be doing a lot of interesting reading and writing each day.

The following items will be used on a regular basis and it is helpful if each child has their own materials. If you cannot bring these items in, I will provide them for you.

  • Pencils

If there is a change in your child's dismissal procedure, students need to have a note. Please send in a note with your child in the morning. This also cuts down on the number of classroom interruptions during the day.
