In the past 12 years, I have taught at primary and intermediate schools in both NZ and the UK. I live in Torbay with my husband, Jeremy and our daughter Piper who was born in 2015.
My ideal weekend would be action-packed with the family, exploring the beach on a sunny day or snowboarding on a snowy mountain. If I wasn't a teacher, I would be a travel & food journalist combining my love of travelling, food and photography. Being an explorer at heart, I also enjoy searching out new and creative learning opportunities for our learners.

Before I became a teacher, I worked as a medic in
the Army for (almost) 4 years. I however decided to leave with the aim of becoming a nurse. While adjusting to the civilian way of life, I got a job teaching first aid for St John. Here I discovered my true passion in life....teaching! This set my life on a new path, and I haven't looked back since.
Over the past 4 years I have been studying at the University of Auckland to obtain my teaching degree. I am now ready to rejoin the workforce and put into practice everything I have learnt. I live in Hobsonville Point with my partner Darin, our son Isaac, and my two step-daughters Leilani and Natasha. My children are also lucky enough to be students here as well!
