On February 22nd, the United States of
America celebrates the birthday of the Father
of Our Country, George Washington.

behind a profound legacy of leadership and

Washington was a great role model, leader and American hero. The George Washington Leadership Study and Award guides a student through 10 different lessons and activities that will enhance their knowledge of Washington as a national leader.
This award can be worked on in the classroom and upon completion of the exercise, teachers can purchase the medal, seen here, and present it to their students in a fun, Washington based ceremony - such as a George Washington Birthday Celebration.
The Study takes approximately two months to complete. If a teacher included it in their class as an activity (or as a competition - the best three receive the medal) and begins in November, there will be plenty of time for the teacher to review the completed packets and send in the order form (attached below). The orders should be sent in no later than the end of January in order for them to be mailed out and received by the teachers in time for a Washington Birthday Celebration.
The George Washington Leadership Study STUDENT WORKBOOK and TEACHER ANSWER KEY EDITION are attached below.
Below are Colonial Era Songs (mp3 files) that can highlight a Washington Birthday Celebration.
