Vendor Information

Selected IT Vendors were invited to join us at Open Science Grid 2011 All Hands Meeting, taking place from the 7th – 10th March 2011 in Boston, MA (http://ahm.sbgrid.org). The US LHC collaborations of the ATLAS and CMS experiments at the Large Hadron Collider and the Open Science Grid Consortium, which provides the US LHC, LIGO and other science collaboration (including the Biomedical community in Boston) access to more than 80 computing and storage resources in the United States will participate. We are expecting 150+ attendees at the meetings.

If you are one of the invited vendors, there are no special fees to participate. You just need to complete the registration form, and pay the regular registration fee for days that you are planing to attend.

The Venue

This years venue is the Joseph B. Martin Conference Center at Harvard Medical School, located in the heart of Boston’s Longwood Medical area. The JBM Conference Center is a state of the art exhibition and conference center, and is easily accessible.

Vendor Demo Session


Invited vendors will have an opportunity to present during the OSG AHM vendor demo session on Tuesday, March 8th from 12-2pm. Each vendor will have a table and 2 chairs together with power and wireless networking. In order to reserve the vendor demo table you need to a) complete the OSG AHM registration form, b) on the registration form, in the special comments/requirement section indicate that you are registering as a vendor, and will require a vendor table. Please shortly describe nature of your demonstration, and list any special requirement (e.g. power requirements). c) submit a credit card payment for your registration.

We will review your application, and if space is available your credit card will be charged, and we will confirm space assignment. This will be completed within 5-7 business days from your applications. Please note that spaces in the Vendor Demo session are limited and will be allocated on first-come, first-served basis.


Vendor Showcase

The vendor showcase will accommodate six short, technology related presentations (scheduled for March 7th, 12-1PM). Presentation will be selected from abstract, which must be submitted by Invited Vendors by January 31st, 5PM. In order to apply for this session you need to a) complete the OSG AHM registration form, b) on the registration form, in the special comments/requirement section indicate that you are registering as a vendor, and you would like to present a talk. Please include a brief, but descriptive abstract. c) Please indicate if you are also interested in participation in the vendor demo session, either regardless of your presentation, or only if your abstract is not selected for the showcase session. d) If you are requesting participation in the Vendor Demo Session you must immediately pay at least one day registration fee.

All abstract will be reviewed by the AHM Program Committee, and selected vendors will be notified by February 7th, 5PM.
