Update on HKBU Admission in 2019 and 2020 entry

(1) Admissions arrangements for 2019 entry

Special consideration for JUPAS applicants failing to meet the general entrance requirements JUPAS Band A applicants who fail to meet the general entrance requirements by one level in any one of the HKDSE core subjects, but obtain a total of two *s (either one subject with 5** or 2 subjects with 5*) or above in any subject(s) may also be considered for admission.


(2) Changes in the general and programme entrance requirements from 2020 entry onwards
The general entrance requirements of the UGC-funded undergraduate programmes offered by HKBU will be revised from 2020 entry onwards. Details are listed as follows:

*Remarks: Individual programmes may recognise Applied Learning (Category B) and/or Other Language (Category C) subjects for fulfillment of the second elective subject requirement.

In line with the changes in the general entrance requirements, the programme entrance requirements of individual programmes will be revised correspondingly. The updated details will be posted in the University’s website at http://admissions.hkbu.edu.hk/ug/jupas in early September 2019.

Following the changes of the University’s general entrance requirements, the threshold for special consideration of JUPAS applicants failing to meet the requirements has been revised for 2020 entry accordingly:
JUPAS Band A applicants who fail to meet the general entrance requirements by one level in any one of the HKDSE subjects, but obtain a total of two * s (either one subject with 5** or 2 subjects with 5*) or above in any subject(s) may also be considered for admission.
