It is great to be at Hurricane Intermediate School! I have enjoyed meeting the faculty, staff, students, and parents.
My family moved to Hurricane in 2006 and have loved the warmth and beauty of southern Utah since our first day here.
As the assistant principal, it is my goal to help each and every student achieve their greatest potential. I am willing to work with anyone who needs assistance because each student learns differently.
Personal bio: I am one of six children (4 boys, 2 girls). As a child, I lived all over the west in almost every state as my father's job moved the family about frequently. I graduated from high school in a small town near Boise. After a semester of college in Rexburg, I served an LDS mission to Colombia. When I returned, I moved to Provo and enrolled at BYU, married Amby Withrow of Corvallis (OR) and graduated in 1988. We have two daughters and have enjoyed spending time with relatives in Oregon, Idaho, and California.
My first fifteen years of teaching and coaching were spent in the Alpine School District where I taught at several schools at both the junior high and high school levels. When I graduated from the University of Utah in 2003 with my Master's Degree, we moved to Winnemucca (NV) where I began my administrative career. A few years later, we moved to southern Utah and and I continued working at Canyon View HS, Hurricane HS, and now--Hurricane Intermediate School.
