The Ohio Turnpike is approximately one mile north of the school district and three major highways, US 127, US 20-A, and SR 191 intersect within the village limits.  Higher education is well served in the area by the University of Toledo, Bowling Green State University, Defiance College, Owens Community College and Northwest State Community College as well as Adrian College and Hillsdale College in Michigan and several colleges in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
