The Hillcrest Thrift Shop opened it's doors in 2008 as an additional revenue stream to help fund our housing program. This store is open to the public to shop and all families in the program are able to shop free of charge to meet any needs they may have while in the program. Graduates of the Hillcrest program are also helped to ensure they have the things necessary for their apartment upon completion of the program based on need through a voucher system. Come be a part of the success of our families by serving at the Thrift Shop!

Hillcrest Thrift Shop Staff
Lou has a passion for not-for-profit work and has been serving with Hillcrest since 2009. He's been married for twenty-five years, has two daughters, one son (in-law) and a dog named Malachi. He likes to golf in the summer and hunt deer and turkey in the winter. Our Warner motto is...."We are not placed on this earth for ourselves alone."
Jim Jenkinson has been married for twenty-six years and has one daughter. He came to Hillcrest in the winter of 2009. He served as the Assistant Manager of the lower level of the Thrift Shop for three years. Recently he was promoted to Manager of the South Platte Thrift Shop. Working for Hillcrest has been a blessing to him. It blended his passion for Ministry with his knowledge of the resale market.
Cindy Hoffecker is our Assistant Manager and has been serving in this capacity since we opened the store in 2008. Cindy has been in the Volunteer Management field for over twenty years. Family is very important to her and she LOVES camping and traveling. She enjoys supporting volunteers while they work at the shop. She is also recruiting new volunteers and encourages everyone to stop by and see what all the excitement is about at the Hillcrest Thrift Shop. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Josh Reed joined the Thrift Shop staff in 2012 to serve as the manager of the lower level South Platte Thrift Shop. Josh is a native of the area and volunteerism has been the primary focus of his life. Since high school, he has been equipping himself to become a leader in the non-profit community service sector. He served full terms of duty with AmeriCorps State, AmeriCorps VISTA, the United States PeaceCorps and is currently serving in the Missouri Army National Guard. Early on he learned the importance of meeting the needs of others through his mother's example. She has influenced his decisions about the importance of family, religion, and civic involvement. Our mission at Hillcrest is an easy fit for him!
