Welcome to the Highland Goffe's Falls PTA website. The PTA meetings are held each month and we encourage you to become a member.
As parents and teachers, we gather to discuss the issues that need to be addressed to ensure that our children have the best possible schooling environment.
Why should you volunteer and get involved with your child’s experience at school? Research shows that children with involved parents are more likely to:
- Earn better grades
- Score higher on tests
- Pass their classes
- Attend School regularly
- Have better social skills
- Show improved behavior
- Have a more positive attitude toward school
- Complete homework assignments
- Graduate and continue their education beyond high school
If you have not received a volunteer form from your child’s teacher, and you would like to get involved, please call Maria Ross at 264-9780, or send a note into your child’s teacher requesting a volunteer form.
We want you to be informed, so we created this website to keep you updated on what is happening within the PTA. Please check back regularly for the latest news and information about our meetings, fundraisers we may be having, and any other important issues that will be discussed. If you are interested in volunteering, have a suggestion or wish to make a comment, please contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org
The next PTA meeting is scheduled for Oct 21st, at 6:30pm in the art room. Babysitting is available in the gym at no charge.
One of our goals this year is to improve attendance and tardies. Please help us by make sure your child is present and on time each day. If your child is sick or absent, please call the school and leave a voicemail message for Mrs. Allen. The school phone number is 624-6334. When your child returns to school, please send a note to his/her teacher. The District requires the parents to send in a note. Also, please try to schedule appointments after 2:35pm. Your students do miss a lot when they leave early. Thank you for your support in this matter.
