Hey! I am Kristi Davenport, aka Ms. D to most students. I have been a teacher at Hampton Elementary since 2006. From 2006 until 2020, I taught middle school ELA. I had the privilege of teaching 5th grade for 3 year, 7th/8th grade for 4 years, and just 8th grade for 8 years! I love seeing my former students be successful adults. I now teach art to all students at Hampton Elementary.

I am a Hampton girl! I went to Hampton Elementary and Hampton High School. I was such a Bulldog that I have been back at Hampton since my college graduation. I have a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Education from East Tennessee State University. I returned to ETSU and completed the Master's of Reading program and at the same time became a Tennessee Certified Reading Specialist. I also completed the Educational Specialist program in Administration from Union College. I also completed the additional testing to be certified to teach Art.

In my spare time, I love spending time with my family. I also enjoy reading and cooking. I am a Disney fanatic and a want-to-be beach bum! I also love true crime documentaries and podcasts. I absolutely love teaching and my very worst day teaching is better than my best day at any other job. My favorite quote is "To thine own self be true" from Hamlet.
