The Technology Education program at the Herricks Middle School is an interdisciplinary one incorporating the current NYS Math, Science and ITEEA Technological Literacy Standards. It is an area in which students are involved in project based learning where they are using science, and mathematics concepts to design and construct solutions to problems. The projects that are being built as a solution will involve hands-on and problem solving activities. The Department is always looking for new ways in creating a learning spark in the experience of students by introducing new projects and creating and reinforcing new learning experiences.
