ALL GRANTS WILL BE PAID TO THE COLLEGE/UNIVERSITY GRANTING THE DUAL CREDIT.

Dual Credit Grants Guidelines/Requirements:

This scholarship is available to students who are full time students at Hermann High School and taking courses for high school credit and college/university credit.

             1.  Financial Need –Accurate information given on Application

2.  Grade Point Average (GPA) – 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale. 

3.  Attendance – the student must have an attendance record of 90% or higher.  Any extenuating circumstances such as illness or accidents will be considered at that time.

 4.  PLAN and/or ACT  Scores 

5.  Class Rank 

6.  Citizenship

a.     Students at Hermann High School are required to maintain a record of "Good Citizenship" as defined by the Gasconade County R-1 Board of Education and avoid the unlawful use/possession of drugs and alcohol.  They are expected to adhere to all school policies (as stated in the student handbook) as well as local, state, and federal laws.
b.     # of  ISS/OSS in 4 years of high school 

7.    Grants will be paid as follows:

a.  Amount of grant will be determined by the Association Board
b.  Monies paid directly to the college  

4 year Grant Guidelines/Requirements:

This grant is available to students attending a 4-year college/university, working toward a Bachelor Degree and are not using A+ program benefits.

1.     Financial Need – The Expected Family Contribution (EFC) which comes from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will need to completed and attached with application.

2.     Grade Point Average (GPA) – 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

3.     Attendance – the student must have an attendance record of 90% or higher.  Any extenuating circumstances such as illness or accidents will be considered at that time.

a.     Students at Hermann High School are required to maintain a record of "Good Citizenship" as defined by the Gasconade County R-1 Board of Education and avoid the unlawful use/possession of drugs and alcohol.  They are expected to adhere to all school policies (as stated in the student handbook) as well as local, state, and federal laws

b.     # of  ISS/OSS in 4 years of high school

7.     Needs to be enrolled in the Hermann R-1 School for their entire & SR years

8.    Scholarship will be paid as follows:

a.  $500 each semester for 8 semesters for a total  of $4,000. It must be used within 5 years from their high school graduation date

b.  Monies paid directly to the college.

c.  RENEWAL:  Student must provide proof of full time enrollment (12 credit hours) and 2.5 grade point from previous semester before next payment is released.

 2 year A+ Scholarship

After completing two years at an A+ school, the student must submit a letter to the Alumni Scholarship Committee applying for the 2 years scholarship to complete years 3 & 4. 

1.  They will need to show they have completed 50 or more credit hours after high school graduation.

2.  GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale

3.  What school they plan to attend to complete their Bachelor Degree. 

If all is in order the request will be approved. 

 

4.  Scholarship will be paid as follows:

a. $500 each semester for 4 semesters for a total of $2,000.  It  

      must  be used within 3 years of the application date.

                         b. Monies paid directly to the college.

 c.  RENEWAL:  Student must provide proof of full time          

     enrollment  (12 credit hours) and 2.5 grade point from  

     previous semester before next payment is released.


 2 year/Vocational or Technical Scholarship Guidelines/Requirements:

This scholarship is available to students furthering their education/training at a community college, technical school or other certificate program that is not a 4-year college/university and are not using A+ program benefits.

 

1.     Financial Need – The Expected Family Contribution (EFC) which comes from the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) will need to completed and attached with application.

2.     Grade Point Average (GPA) – 2.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

3.     Attendance – the student must have an attendance record of 90% or higher.  Any extenuating circumstances such as illness or accidents will be considered at that time.

4.     Citizenship

a.     Students at Hermann High School are required to maintain a record of "Good Citizenship" as defined by the Gasconade County R-1 Board of Education and avoid the unlawful use/possession of drugs and alcohol.  They are expected to adhere to all school policies (as stated in the student handbook) as well as local, state, and federal laws

b.     # of ISS/OSS in 4 years of high school

5.     Needs to be enrolled in the Hermann R-1 School for their entire JR & SR years

6.     Scholarship will be paid as follow:

a.  $500 in 4 payments to be used within 3  years from high school graduation date.

b.  Monies paid directly to the school

c.  RENEWAL:  Student provide proof of full time enrollment

      and 2.5 grade point from previous semester.
