Henrico County Public Schools 2021 Online Health and Physical Education

Thank you for your interest in Summer Online Health and Physical Education, a popular program for students in Henrico County Public Schools. Enrollment in the program is capped at 500 students. Priority will be given to students who are missing HPE courses, to ensure they have the credits necessary for graduation. All interested students enter a lottery in order to be selected for the summer course. See details on the registration information page.

Courses and Prerequisites:
Health and P.E. 9 (Course 7300); Prerequisite: completion of, or currently completing 8th-grade. 
Health and P.E. 10 (Course 7400); Prerequisite: completion of, or currently completing, course 7300.

Note: Courses are offered to students who will be enrolled in Henrico County Public Schools, or HCPS students enrolled at Maggie Walker Governor’s School during the 2021-22 school year.

May 25 - July 27, 2021

Lottery Application Sign-Up Dates:
Feb. 3
-26, 2021

Sign up for the lottery (once per child) only if you can commit to taking the class. Notification of acceptance to courses will be no later than March 5, 2021 via email. 

Registration and Payment Dates:
March 8-19, 2021 at 4 p.m. Payment and registration will be guided via email invitation to lottery recipients.

Mandatory meetings:
  • May 25 (all students).
  • June 22 (ninth-grade Health and P.E.).
  • June 23 (10th-grade Health and P.E.).
  • July 27 (all students).
  • All students will also have twice-monthly meetings with their instructor for 1:1 check-in meetings.
$225 tuition for Henrico County residents.
