Welcome back to school, we hope you had a fantastic summer!

We are really looking forward to getting to know your children over the course of this year, and look forward to meeting you as well. We will spend the first couple of weeks getting to know one another in class and building our community, and will also begin to dive into all the fantastic learning we will be doing this year.

Agenda

- This will be our main line of communication. We check and initial agendas every morning. Please have your child share the message with you every night.

Timetable

- Over the first few weeks it is possible for your child’s library, gym and music schedules to change. Once the timetable is permanent we will inform you of their usual library, gym and music days. This can also be found on our website.

School Supplies

- All supplies students need are provided by the school, (e.g. pencils, duo-tangs, erasers, scissors, etc.), anything extra that is appreciated is listed below.

- Students are encouraged to bring in a reusable water bottle to keep in the class year-round.

Website

- This is where you will find any resources, reminders, homework, etc. Website can be accessed via the Staff link on the PLR website or from the following link: https://sites.google.com/a/hdsb.ca/plr34/home

Indoor Shoes and Gym Clothes

- Students should have a pair of indoor running shoes to keep at school for phys-ed and to help keep our classroom clean. Students should also have a change of clothes for gym (can bring home to wash weekly).

Allergies

- We would appreciate your cooperation in not sending any snacks or lunches to school containing peanuts, tree nuts or any nut product. We have life threatening allergies in our classroom.

A few important reminders for the first week:

  • Complete and return all forms in agenda.

  • Complete and return our “Student Information” form.

  • Please email us both with your child’s full name in the “Subject Line” so that we can add your email to our communications list.

Items that are very helpful and appreciated to have in class:

  • Tissues

  • Baby wipes or wet wipes

  • Plastic forks and spoons

Thank you and we look forward to a great year ahead!

- Madame Provost and Miss Krawczyk
