Grade 11 - Communications Technology

Then this course is for you.This course examines communications technology from a media perspective. Students will develop knowledge and skills as they design and produce media projects in the areas of live, recorded, and graphic communications. 

These areas may include:
  • TV, video, and movie production; 
  • Radio and audio production; 
  • Print and graphic communications; 
  • Photography; 
  • Digital imaging; 
  • Broadcast journalism; and 
  • Interactive new media.
This course will prepare you for the responsibilities of TGJ4M.

We’ll be learning about the pre-production process; how to build and lead a team to create your vision. Screenplay development, scouting, shot lists and much more. We’ll practice the skills necessary in the production phase of video production; how to use the equipment, types of shots, camera support, lighting, audio recording and many others.

We’ll then be using Adobe Premiere Pro CC in post-production to polish your raw footage into the final product.

We’ll be using Adobe PhotoshopCC, Illustrator CC, After EffectsCC to create marketing materials and other content for Hayden 's website, Twitter and Instagram.

To succeed in this course you will have to be a team player who is responsible and productive.
