Course Description
This course provides an overview of the importance of international business and trade in the global economy and explores the factors that influence success in international markets. Students will learn about the techniques and strategies associated with marketing, distribution, and managing international business effectively. This course prepares students for post-secondary programs in business, including international business, marketing, and management.

Learn about globalization and how economics, politics, culture, and business practices impact business owners, as well as you as a consumer and participant in our global economy.

  • Create a trip advisory for a country to enhance understanding of cultural norms all over the world
  • Analyze the 4 Ps of Marketing for a global company - how well is McDonald's really received around the world?
  • Develop a creative visual piece exploring the pros and cons of globalization
  • Explore your passions and connect it to corporate social responsibility... what is YOUR ideal company?

Major Task
Launch a Canadian product into the foreign market and develop a campaign to bring it to market.
