November Newsletter

Hello Crocker Families!
During the month of November we are working on promoting empathy at Crocker.

One of our district goals is empathy.  In our zest to work on this goal, Toni Presta our Director of Educational Services, has invited Michele Borba, the author of UnSelfie, to speak to our staff and parent community.  Prior to Michele’s visit, Crocker would like to host a book club in which we read the book Unselfie and discuss how to practice empathy.  Below are the dates and times of our meetings.  Hope to see you all there!

Book Club

12/19 Next Steps for Crocker: how can we promote empathy on campus

This club will be a great way to kick off our discussion of empathy and what it looks like in our community.  If you would like more information about Michele Borba please visit her website at: http://micheleborba.com/category/unselfie/ .  Her website has absolutely fantastic resources!

In late December we will be hosting a WEB activity during lunch.  This event is centered around students reaching out and connecting with more students on campus.  For more about what this event will look like please visit: https://www.tolerance.org/mix-it-up/getting-started

I truly enjoy working with your children each day.  If there is anything I can do to help please let me know.
