The 2017-2018 school years marks my 4th year teaching. I am a Buncombe County kid born and raised. I graduated from AC Reynolds High in 2005 and continued my education outside the state, just across the mountains in Tennessee. In 2010 I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor's in Architecture. I have worked in two architectural firms both here in Asheville, NC and Knoxville, TN. Design is my passion and I love being able to teach students a different way of creating an object, viewing an object, and laying out a drawing.

I like to think of my classroom as more of a studio environment. The students are able to interact with their peers, as well as, myself to problem solve and design. This set of classes are project based more than lecture based because a hands on approach is the best teaching method when it comes to design.

I have great expectations for the drafting classes. I currently teach Drafting I which is the prerequisite for the higher levels. I also teach the upper level courses for both the Architecture and Construction cluster - Architecture II/III and  the STEM Cluster - Engineering II/III.
