El Centro Scholarship - Deadline: January 15th 

North Carolina Teaching Fellows program- Deadline Tuesday, January 16th
The North Carolina Teaching Fellows program is a competitive, merit-based forgivable loans-for-service program that provides up to $8,250 a year for up to four years to highly-qualified students committed to teaching special education or a STEM subject in a North Carolina public school. 

Bessie Noble and Willie Lou Jordan- Deadline: January 22nd at 5 PM (including mailed documents)

Community Foundation of Western North Carolina- Various Deadlines: (Jan 26th being the earliest)

Community Foundation of Henderson County- Deadline: Wednesday, January 31st

Western Carolina University Scholarships- Deadline: Thursday, February 1st

Elks Legacy Awards- Deadline: Friday, February 2nd @ 1:00 PM

Mcdonalds Hacer Scholarship - Deadline: Monday, February 5th
Amount: $25,000

Henderson County Education Foundation- Deadline: Monday, February 12th
Contact your counselor for an electronic copy of your transcript and most recent report card.

SECU People Helping People- Deadline- Thursday, February 15th
Application is attached below on this website and also available in Counseling Office
Read the eligibility criteria closely and feel free to ask us questions. There will be two applicants from each high school in Henderson County to interview with a Scholarship Committee, held at HCPS Central Office in March. 

NCHSAA Endowed Fund Scholarships (Varsity Athletes)- Deadline- Friday, February 16th

Hendersonville Civitan Club Scholarship

Please see attachments for the Hendersonville Civitan Club Scholarship ($2,000). Attached are the guidelines and application. Submit only one copy to the counseling office. Your completed application, along with the FAFSA, and letters of recommendation must be submitted together to be considered for the scholarship. Please return these materials to Ms. Luibrand or Ms. Elaine Smith by Tuesday, February 27, 2018.

Hendersonville Student Ambassador Travel Scholarship - Deadline Thursday, March 1st 
Scholarship for students who are in the process of applying to or have been accepted for international study abroad, internship or work study program of at least 2 weeks.

Journey Scholarship- Deadline: Postmarked by Friday, March 23rd.
Applications are available in the counseling office or on Google Classroom.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund - Deadline: Sunday, April 15th 
Amount: $500-$5,000

BRCC Scholarships- Deadline- Sunday, April 15th

FAFSA and RDS Reminder: 
If you need help completing your FAFSA or NC Residency Determination Service (RDS), financial aid officers at Blue Ridge Community College are willing to meet with students and parents weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Contact Lisanne Masterson at 828-694-1806 or to set up an appointment. They will help even if you plan to attend a college other than BRCC.
