We are thrilled to be hosting our third annual TechFest on Thursday, May 30th at the District Office! We all know that we have some remarkable examples of how students and teachers are leveraging the power of technology to empower and develop deep-sustained learning but how do we get these sparks of innovation to spread throughout our entire district to create and cultivate a new learning culture? This year's TechFest is all about fanning the flame. We are coming together to be challenged, collaborate and share our visions and practices for moving forward in the digital learning frontier.

This year we are expecting over 70 educators from our district and our feeder districts to participate in TechFest. We are also delighted to welcome Douglas Thomas as our morning keynote speaker and Brad Ovenell-Carter, who will be virtually joining us after lunch from his school district in Canada via a Google Hangout . There will be lots of share sessions, a throw-down, student spotlights and a live slam-on-air. To make sure you know what's happening when and where and to help us ensure we have adequate seating capacity, we are using a scheduling website to run this event. sched.org site, check it out and if you plan on coming please RSVP back to me and I'll add you to our directory so you can use the sched.org site to personalize your schedule and connect with others before, during and after the event.
