Cognitive Styles and Learning Styles

As Juniors, in addition to Pre-Employment training, students take 2 surveys to further identify their cognitive (or "thinking") style and their learning style and how this information can help them to determine a career path.

The Cognitive Style survey uses the popular Myers-Briggs assessment to categorize students in 4 areas resulting in one of 16 personality types.

The Learning Style (based on the Theory of Multiple Intelligences) survey identifies the student as one of 8 learning styles: linguistic, logical, visual, bodily, musical, naturalistic, interpersonal, or intrapersonal.

The results of these surveys help the WorkAbility staff to further help the student find a career path.
