What is VIPS?

VIPS (Volunteers in Public Schools) is a program of the Huntington Beach Union High School District.  It is exciting adult involvement in education that has developed nationwide.  It is involvement where it really counts.

Program Goals
  • Bridge the gap between schools and community for enhancement of learning opportunities for youth.
  • Extend and enrich educational programs by making available talents and resources of business persons, civic members, retirees, parents, and community members.
  • Promote positive school and community relationships.

What are the rewards?
Your contributions to education brings both personal satisfaction and set an example in community leadership for our students.  The school, students, and community gain active and informed participants.


Are you a volunteer who will be driving students in your personal vehicle?
You must have form 28.02 completed  with all approved documents and turned into the Community Resource Coordinator's office 48 hours in advance of the trip.  Click the download arrow to complete and print the pdf form.  Be sure to sign the form before submitting for approval.  Forms are also available in the Community Resource Coordinator's office located next to the Media Center.
