I am currently an PhD candidate at the Department of Second Language Studies, University of Hawaii at Manoa. I have a background in Linguistics, Applied Linguistics, Teaching English as a Second Language, and Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language.
As a language teacher, I am passionate about teaching the language as well as the culture. In creating situated real-life scenarios in my classroom, I try to scaffold my students into discovering their agency in building the self-centered learning ecology.
As a PhD student, I reflect on my teaching experience, and promote new thinking on language education. In developing the theoretical understanding of language education and technology, I embraced the Ecological Dialogical Distributed view.  In exploring various technologies, I try to enhance my understanding of the affordances that the multi-modal technologies can provide for both teachers and students.
