Welcome to the Sustainability Program homepage. We offer courses in introductory concepts, water, energy, sustainable construction, and food systems.

There are many programs the Sustainability Science certificate program can broadly prepare you for. You could continue your education in Natural Resources and Environmental Management, Geography, Physical or Biological Sciences, Community Food Systems, and many others.

Our program was specifically articulated with UH Maui College's Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Sustainable Science Management. The Kauaʻi CC certificate program will accomplish some of your first year requirements for this program.

You can take a single course, or earn up to two certificates in Sustainability Science. These programs are transferable to UH Mānoa, UH West Oʻahu, UH Hilo, and others across the state and mainland.

Some of our courses are very interactive using field trips and field research to complement the course, and others are designed to help you develop the skills to succeed in college level courses and in the workforce. Please contact us if you have any questions, or would like to learn more!
