I Ling's Page

I was born and raised in Taiwan. I teach undergraduate Chinese courses at the University of Rhode Island.

One thing that you should know about me is that I always look for the best practices for my students to achieve their goals. I enjoy working in team collaboration and create a sense of community among the instructors and students.

Some of the key ideas that have significantly influenced my philosophy of teaching and learning are Social Constructivist, Communitarian Philosophy, Facilitation Theory, and Action Learning.

Some key experiences that have significantly influenced my philosophy of teaching and learning include serving as an instructor at a community college and a public research university; teaching in immersion programs, teaching online courses, supervising student teachers, and the professional development works I have done in teaching and assessments.
