Dore Minatodani gave two talks at the University of Hawaii at Hilo, on the UHM Library's participation in the National Digital Newspapers Program, with an overview of newspaper publishing in Hawaii. The first talk, on Tuesday 4/27/10, was attended by over 60 UH Hilo students and faculty. The second, on Wednesday 4/28/10, was attended by 10 librarians and staff members at UH Hilo's Mookini Library. Graduate Research Assistant Monica LaBriola, who was developing Hawaii and Pacific-related topical guides for the project, accompanied Dore.
UH Hilo's academic division of Ka Haka ʻUla O Keʻelikōlani College of Hawaiian Language offers Hawaiian Studies degrees in the bachelor's, master's, and doctoral level.
