Acquisition Lab

General Information

Locations: Kuykendall 422 and Moore 264

The LAE Labs support two streams of research in (first, second, and bilingual) language acquisition. The first stream targets early infancy (0-24 months), with dedicated facilities to study looking-while-listening (preferential head turning, preferential listening, eye-tracking, etc.) and is housed in SLAB (Moore 264). The second stream targets toddler-aged children (2 to 6 years) and is supported by facilities in the Kuykendall Lab.
Baby Lab allows researchers to study language acquisition in infants, and ToddlerLab allows researchers to study language acquisition in toddlers.
