Graduate Certificate in Online Learning and Teaching (COLT)
University of Hawai'i at Mānoa
Department of Educational Technology

The following web site was developed in application for the Association for Educational Communications and Technology (AECT) certificate endorsement program (CEP). In line with the AECT certificate endorsement policy, this application focused on program purpose and content rather than outcomes or evidence of learner's achieved skills. On Oct. 30, 2012, the AECT Board of Directors presented UHM the first CEP award in the world. Information on the award can be found on the Award Info page.

This web site is divided into two main sections: an overview of the program, and a section on alignment with AECT standards. Brief descriptions are provided for each, with attachments and web links to documents that provide detailed evidence. In addition, there is information on institutional review as another indicator of quality and to meet the required element in the review rubric.
