IRAN DIVESTMENT ACT NOTICE  

Any vendor with which Harnett County Schools enters a purchasing contract must attest to the following:
Contractor certifies that, as of the date listed on the contract, it is not on the Final Divestment List as created by the State Treasurer pursuant to N.C.G.S. 143-6A-4.  In compliance with the requirements of the Iran Divestment Act and N.C.G.S 143C-6A-5(b), Contractor shall not utilize in the performance of the contract any subcontractor that is identified on the Final Divestment List.

RACE TO THE TOP CONTRACT ALERT– LEARNING-FOCUSED

In accordance with the North Carolina Office of Economic Recovery & Investment policy regarding contracts utilizing Race-to-the-Top funding, Harnett County Schools will be posting a "Notice of Intent" to award a contract to Learning-Focused to continue professional development for all teachers for the 2014-2015 school year. The "Notice of Intent" for this award will be posted on the NC Department of Administration, Division of Purchase and Contract's Interactive Purchasing System (IPS) on Tuesday, August 19, 2014. RACE TO THE TOP NOTICE OF INTENT– LEARNING-FOCUSED

In accordance with the North Carolina Office of Economic Recovery & Investment policy regarding contracts utilizing Race to the Top funding, Harnett County Schools will be will be posting a "Notice of Intent" to award a contract to Learning-Focused. Harnett County Schools intends to award a contract utilizing Race to the Top (RttT) funding, as provided by the United States Department of Education, to Learning-Focused. This portion of the NC RttT award is for professional development and supporting educational resources that 1)remain current, 2)are aligned with curriculum, 3)support the instructional non-negotiables in our HCS Strategic Plan, and 4)focus on effective instruction for students of poverty.This planning endeavor for effective lesson design and standards assessment is a logical extension of the projects supporting standards and assessments being developed and implemented per the RttT initiative. That effort focuses primarily on providing instructional support for teachers (in support of classroom instruction) to improve student performance and educational outcomes. A "Notice of Intent" for this award will be posted on the NC Department of Administration, Division of Purchase and Contract's Interactive Purchasing System (IPS) on Friday, August 29, 2014.
