Welcome to the visual arts department.
A variety of art classes are available each semester at HCIS.  Classes range from beginning level to advanced, traditional to digital, 2D and 3D.  Students are encouraged to explore concepts while learning mediums and methods to effectively communicate their ideas.  Attention is given to the creative process and intentional decision making at all levels.
Student art is exhibited throughout the school, in the gallery in the Harbor City Theater, and in the community.  Exhibit openings occur 2 times each semester at Arts Nights, evening events to showcase students in the visual and performing arts.
