Blogging

Student Blog

Students are required to create a student blog using Wordpress.  Every two weeks students are required to post at least 1 new blog entry.  Be sure to complete your blog entry by Friday's class at the end of each two week period.  Every other Friday we will set aside time to read, comment, and discuss each other's blogs as a class.  Make sure to submit your blog address in the form below.  When signing up for a blog please make your username the first three letters of your last name, the first three letters of your first name, and your period number.  For example, my username would be sutjas1.

Student Blog Content

Many people avoid blogs because of their personal nature.  Please don't be offended, but I don't care if your having a bad hair day, if your service at Starbucks was lousy, or if the weather outside is great.  Well, I do care, I just don't want to read about it in your blog.

Your first blog post should tell us about yourself.  What you like or dislike, what you would like to learn in environmental, or anything else you would like us to know.  Please remember not to post any identifying information to your blog.  The public should not be able to determine who you are!

The rest of your blog entries should deal with current events that relate to class.  You will have two weeks to locate articles, websites, video clips, or other forms of media and compose a blog post.  Link to the information you discovered in your post and explain how it is relevant to what we are studying.  Make sure to include personal opinions and feelings.

Class Blog

During the course of the year I will be posting various resources for you to read on our class blog.  You will need to add a comment to each post in order to respond.  Please note that your comments will not appear until they have been approved by your instructor.  No comments will be approved until the assignment is due.  After comments have been approved no more posts will be accepted.  You can find our blog at the following link:
