Milwaukee, WI--Hamilton Forensics finished 5th overall (out of 31 teams) at the Marquette Invite on Saturday, which is the best team finish in at least five years.

The team was very proud to tie a modern team record for most entries advancing to the finals as eight out of twenty-four members attending the meet powered.

These members are: senior, Dani Kallis (pictured, middle right), in special occasion; senior, Mackenzie Fowler, in solo humorous; senior, Samantha Moore, and junior, Erin Magoon, in duo interpretation; junior, Emily Bader (pictured, far left), in special occasion; junior, Ciara Cronin (pictured, middle left), in storytelling; sophomore, Rachel Betters, in radio; sophomore, Mathew Gnanadass, in extemporaneous speaking; and freshman, Molly Hubred, in special occasion. Members who didn’t power supported their teammates by attending their power rounds.

The Marquette meet was incredibly successful for Hamilton, as many of those who powered also placed in the top three. In fact, the team also tied a modern team record for the most entries placing in the top-3 at an invite.

Dani Kallis and Rachel Betters both placed first in their categories; the pair of Samantha Moore and Erin Magoon, Emily Bader, and Ciara Cronin all finished second in their categories; Mackenzie Fowler (pictured, far right) placed third.

Additionally, the team Hamilton forensics members enthusiastically look forward to the Wauwatosa East meet this coming Saturday, and the opportunity to continue this season’s success!
