The Hamilton Chargers faced what turned out to be one of their biggest challenges of the season. Despite having to navigate a college campus and a field of over 40 teams, Hamilton didn’t send many to finals, but they still scored their second-best point total of the season and only their third 200+ point finish under Head Coach Barry Holloway.

Adding to the pressure, eight Chargers double entered, seven for the first time. “Double entering was tough,” explained Assistant Captain Andy O’Neill.

“That was rough,” added his sister, Emma O’Neill, “but at least our buildings were close enough.”

Dani Kallis got the most out of double entering as she became just the second Charger this season, after Erin Magoon, to power in multiple categories this season. Kallis extended her streak by powering at her 16th meet in a row.

Sam Moore and Magoon continued their season streak as they are now the only people on the team who have placed at the first four meets, finishing 3rd this weekend in Duo Interpretation.

The play acting duo of Kavya Ayalasomayajula and Emily Keith powered for the second meet in a row.

“It’s pretty unexpected,” said Ayalasomayajula, “but it’s pretty exciting.”
