Welcome to your local Residents' Association website!

Membership of the Ham and Petersham Association is open to anyone living in the Ham and Petersham area of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames.  The Association was started in 1933 and is a non-political and non-sectarian organisation which is run by a Committee of local residents who work on a voluntary basis.

What are our aims? What do we do?

  • We strive to preserve and maintain the environmental and architectural integrity of this historical and special area.
  • We work to improve local facilities, as well as trying to reduce anti-social behaviour, graffiti and crime generally.
  • We work with, and make representations to, our local Borough Council and representative Ward Councillors, as well as the Police and other authorities, to support local improvements, and encourage high standards of planning and development.
  • We arrange volunteer activities of special concern to Members that foster community spirit, such as the maintenance of Ham Pond, and "clean up" days in the area.
  • We host an annual Garden Party at Ham House for our Members in the summer.
  • We run occasional events and raise money to benefit the Association's aims.  This enables us to support a variety of local environmental and other groups.

Why not join us?

WE NEED NEW AND INTERESTED MEMBERS WHO WANT TO HELP US WITH OUR WORK.
