Relief efforts after Hurricane Matthew

Hurricane Matthew, a category 5 hurricane, hit the South of Haiti with winds over 160mph damaging up to 90% of houses in some towns.

Among the schools supported by Haiti Futur, 60% of the schools were either totally destroyed, or partially damaged (often the roof). This is very important for kids to go back to school as soon as possible to provide them with a structure and a safe place to deal with the traumatic experience of the hurricane.

Haiti Futur is working with local population to repair 40 schools. Every dollar donated will be spent in Haiti repairing the school with the help of local workers.

Haiti Futur (US) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization to support quality education in Haiti.

Haiti Futur (US) collaborates with a network of vocational training centers, high schools and youth organizations in Haiti to deliver educational opportunities to young haitians. To achieve our mission, we collaborate with Haiti Futur (France) who has been working in Haiti since 1994 and developed a strong education program based on digital education.
